"They will rip you off. A day ago a friend found blood oath for 149. I called and asked to buy a bottle over the phone. They said they’d hold it for me, in the back office, so it doesn’t sell. The next day I drive 2 hours out of my way to get it, now the price is 249. “Someone came in and offered us more, will you pay it? If not we’ll give it to the other guy” When you promise to hold something for someone and promise them a price, you don’t see if someone will take more for it. This isn’t an auction house. Dishonest. Scummy. Cheaty. If that story is even true, I’m not sure. But if it is and you’re the guy who tried to buy it over my head, you’re the reason bourbon prices are so high."
