"Luekens has been one of my favorite liquor stores, until my experience today. I was in the area and saw they had a bottle of whiskey I was looking for. Total Wine had it advertised for $30 cheaper. Luekens online price match policy states, “Luekens Wine & Spirits prides itself on having the lowest prices on brand name wine, spirits and beer. As such, our retail stores will match a local competitor’s current advertised price on any identical product item.” When I went to the register to get the price match, things didn’t go so well. First, the lady didn’t know the policy. Then, she called her coworker over and they said they only accept paper ads showing price match. My first thought was, we are in the 21st century… everyone uses technology. You only accept PAPER ADS???? Moving past that thought…. the Luekens website states, “To complete the Price Match, we must be able to successfully validate the local competitor’s price via their ad or website.” I brought that up and the employee stumbled for an answer and said, the price match would only be valid from a liquor store in the immediate area. If you don’t want my business fine, but update your website and stop leading people to believe you price match when you actually don’t. VERY disappointing."
