"Another auto repair shop told me based on the check engine light code that the problem may be complex and I had to take it to a Nissan dealer. I subsequently did that and was told I need a new transmission at a quote of $9500 for a 110,000 mile Nissan Armada. I googled the code and searched the topic online, discovering that the potential problem was a common issue with the valve body going bad in Nissans. Then, I selected An Honest Auto Repair because of their reviews and called the owner. From the beginning, I was greeted with a very friendly individual wanting to know how he can help. I gave him the check engine code and he immediately knew the problem. I ended getting my car fixed for $2,300 ($1,700 parts), a fraction of what the crooked dealer quoted. Very honest and knowledgeable, family business."

"This is the best mechanic ever! Honest just like the name says. As a girl I always feel uncomfortable going to a mechanic without a man because I’m afraid they’ll up-charge / scam me as many of them do, but this mechanic shop is so affordable, and reasonable and they do a great job too! They really take the time to explain what is wrong and don’t add random fees either. God bless them"

"I took my car in to to have it repaired on December 14, 2023, to honest repair auto shop after getting a quote from Ryan for $160. I had not post the review yet, because I have been preoccupied with personal issues, therefore I have forgotten about it. Ryan has a interpersonal attitude and friendly disposition which in my opinion it's important, his brother as well. He only charged me $60 for labor, instead of $100 for labor which he had quoted me on over the phone to replace the crank position sensor. So I can truly say that this young man seem to be honest. The title and name of his auto repair shop seem to fit their character. Any future repairs, this is the mechanic that I would use. Again thank you so much Ryan!"
