"Was quoted 475 for an ECU for which I signed the estimate. They had the car 4 weeks which had me on the bus, at age 60 & doing outside maintenance work full time to support myself paycheck to paycheck, without telling me until late in the process that it was going to a dealership - which I could've done myself, but he charged me 850. There was no more bunking of the car, so it was drivable, but since warning lights were now on, I brought it to a different dealership a week later. The dealership charged me 475 for a new ECU that was guaranteed (instead of the used one the shop had gotten). The dealership had it done in one day & the ECM is guaranteed for 2 years."
