"Beautiful park. Great for walking. Old historic buildings with plaques giving you great detail about the area and buildings. Lots of benches to sit and picnic tables. Loved the large deck over looking St John's River. Boat launch located next door. There are a couple of access to wooden walkway along the river as well. Be on the look out for the many ceramic frogs in random places!"

"Walter Jones Historic Park is a free waterfront park with few amenities. This site has picnic and bathroom facilities, a bench swing and river views but no walking trails or bicycle paths."

"We enjoyed our stop at the Walter Jones historic Park. It is quite lovely, even in January. It was a little bit lackluster and not much to do other than look at the river or the buildings. The signage was fairly plain, I would have liked a bit more detail on the cool buildings and machinery, or perhaps to have the option to tour the buildings for a fee even. The parking was easy and I did like that the pathways led back to each other. It was not a long enough walk for us, but we may have missed something, I'm not really sure. There was no trail map available when we arrived. There were flyers to be taken by the museum, but there were none left so I'm not sure what would have been in them."

"I’ve been twice this month and this site is gorgeous. The pavilion can be rented through the jaxparks site and there is a bathhouse. We’re hosting an event for our bookclub here this coming Saturday, so expect another review from me this weekend!!"
