"Wonderful adventure!! Bring a walking stick because the grass is tall, but if you are looking for an actual wildlife management area that is away from industrialization than this is an amazing adventure waiting. Bring plenty of water & a fishing pole to survive the day!! No wait in line & all the fresh air you can inhale!! No restrooms & not completely kid friendly only because it's a primitive park..."

"Jack Creek is a wonderful example of the ancient sand dune islands of the Lake Wales Ridge and is filled with rare plants and animals found only here. The designated entrance is difficult to find so refer to the sfwmd website and google maps satellite view carefully. It is across from where Mathes Street intersects Grand Concourse Road. You might want to print out the map, we didn't find any while we were there. The trails are mostly fire breaks and sugar sand and are a challenge to hike, especially on hot Florida days. Bring plenty of water and a compass. There is already a listing for Jack Creek but was unable to add pictures and a review there."
