"This is a boat ramp and fishing pier that is tucked away behind Lake Townsend Park. I've been coming and bringing my children for a number of years. It's quiet and adjacent to the rails to trails pathway. Boat ramp is nothing fancy but it's been my experience that people who use it are friendly and willing to lend a hand when in need."

"Beautiful majestic mystical place to spend time alone, but be sure to come during the early morning hours of the off season. Be careful not to be eaten by the alligators. Lovely sites, bring your kayak canoe or rubber raft. Don't litter."

"Nice, though a bit worn and in need of TLC. There is a boat launch, fishing pier, pave roads for bicycling, horse trails (I presume, since I saw horses in the parking lot). Pavilions with picnic tables, smaller sheltered picnic tables, playground, volleyball court, basketball court, and athletic field."
