No one, and I mean NO ONE, in my 53 yrs has ever come even close to getting my curl cut right.. But Laurie, she was amazing!! I went home with super soft, spiral curls that came alive for the very first time! Anyone with thick, curly hair should give this place a try ..100/100!! Rose D."

"If i could give a half star i would... BUYER BEWARE! Came in for a consultation to evaluate my burned hair (another salon burned it by having flat iron up too high) I was very nervous as my hair is both curly and straight due to mixed ethnicity and a growing out relaxer but Laurie trimmed it as a curly cut was not possible until the relaxed portion grows out. This entailed cutting about 2" off in the back and a light "dusting" on the sides. Since this was a simple and quick process I thought I'd be charged for a trim...(the cut was less involved then the $25 mens cut) She then put a demi color on my hair then washed it out quickly as my hair was porous and took immediately...this took a total of approximately 10 minutes. I don't have wash and wear hair but laurie sent me out of the salon without the benefit of a style or blow dry. It looked a mess!!! But I figured I could go home and style it myself. When I asked how much I owe she hesitated before charging me $100!!! I was taken completely off guard but paid anyway but I left feeling very conflicted about what just happened. I contacted Laurie the next day with a question about the color. She responded that evening. I then asked her why she charged so much and she finally responded the next day. She had charged me for a FULL DEVA CUT AND AND A COLOR! I basically told her I was uncomfortable with this as she didn't give me a full cut and color nor did I get a blow dry or style which is included in the price list. Her response: "I understand" She never offered a partial refund or to at least to make it up to me. Simply put 'she just did not care' So... BUYER BEWARE as this person clearly took advantage of me and gave me the bare minimum and consequently overcharged me. I feel VIOLATED! Maybe ethnic hair is not her thing? I don't know but I wouldn't recommend her to even groom a dog... EXPENSIVE lesson learned!"
