"AD Doug is just a wonderful all-around park, the best one in Dade, a rare gem in what is otherwise a concrete wasteland of a county. Tons of natural beauty, gazebos with covered barbecues, bench areas with open barbecues, lakes, nature walks, a sparkling-clean heated public pool with diving board and accessible water entry, well-equipped playground, basketball court, sports field... And the park also hosts a nature camp for schoolchildren and a bunch of services for disabled children and adults: group retreat cabins, swimming lessons, sports programs, therapy, etc. Cannot sing its praises highly enough; this place is magical and is my favorite park."
