Clifford House, located at 536 North Bay Street in Eustis, Florida, is a beautiful antebellum style mansion with a deep porch and elegant architectural details. Built in 1911 by Guilford Davis Clifford, the home features six fireplaces with imported Italian tiles, original woodwork, and indoor plumbing. The house was occupied by three generations of the Clifford family before becoming the Eustis Historical Museum.
In addition to the historic home, the property also includes the Unity Bell Pavilion, where weddings and celebrations are held, and a Citrus Museum showcasing artifacts from the citrus industry in Eustis. The museum is operated by volunteers and funded through membership dues, fundraising events, and donations.
Visitors can enjoy tours during regular hours or schedule a group or private tour by contacting the museum. The museum recently opened a new exhibit featuring an authentic replica of an early 1900's laundry room, curated by Gary.
