About the Business

Collier-Seminole State Park, located at 20200 Tamiami Trail East in Naples, Florida, is a 7,271-acre park that showcases the unique blend of temperate and tropical plant communities found in the great mangrove swamp of South Florida. Home to a variety of wildlife, including several imperiled species, the park features rare royal palm stands and extensive mangrove swamps.
Visitors to Collier-Seminole State Park can explore the park's wilderness on several trails, including the Prairie Hammock Trail, Flatwoods Trail, and river trail. The park is also home to the last existing Bay City Walking Dredge, a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark used in the construction of the Tamiami Trail Highway.
Nature enthusiasts can enjoy canoe rentals, a boat ramp for access to the Blackwater River, and opportunities for bicycling, hiking, and wildlife observation. The park also features the Barron Gift Collier Memorial, honoring the founder of Collier County and a beloved figure in Southwest Florida history.
Please note that as of April 3, 2023, the Royal Palm Hammock Nature Trail and Strand Swamp Trail are closed for repairs and maintenance, respectively. However, the Prairie Hammock Trail, Flatwoods Trail, and river trail remain open for visitors to enjoy.

"Wonderful place to visit . Camping in great condition. A lot of water activity for extra pay. Stay here for 7 nighs love it close to Naples about 30 min. Miami about 90min Restaurant good for diner next door .Gas station on the corner .New Publix store 8 min. Moskitos situation low in February."
"We booked a year in advance so we knew we would be guaranteed a spot as most things fill up quickly in Florida. Got here and the ranger saw the size of the rig and said we will have to issue you a refund your to big. All they had was 15 foot sites and we were 32. After the shock was over I tried to reason with her we don’t want a refund. When we booked you fill in the dates, your equipment, size etc. etc. she kept explaining to us that they had to turn so many people away because of their computer system failure well, get the system fixed! They couldn’t even give me a refund back on the credit card. The Ranger showed us other places to stay, but they were all booked. We were stranded after two hours driving from Miami. They would mail a check to CANADA that check may never come. Luckily, we got six nights because of a total stranger not showing up cancelled. The park is beautiful. Lots to do bugs are bad at night. I recommend calling to book the reservation as a computer system is not reliable."
"Nice park but mosquitos were horrid. We stayed in December, tried outdoor fogger, cutter deep woods, all natural but nothing worked. So couldn't enjoy outdoors much at all unless fast walk or bike ( my case, wheelchair). Saw a black bear cross the road while heading to boat launch ... that was cool. Facilities were nice, some sites were tight but others were quite nice. We did go on the go cats, it was alright but not much to see. Wouldn't go back again because of the bugs"
"Great potential but truly in need of some TLC. Two night stay. Sites are electric and water only, mix of gravel and dirt and most are small. Some shade. Two bath houses. One at the back of the Park is newer and nicer. One bar on T-Mobile. Old picnic table and fire ring. The one Nature Trail; Royal Palm Hammock Trail, is closed permanently. The "Block House" is closed and the Seminole Indian Village is in disrepair. Also notice very high water pressure, so definitely plan to install a pressure valve. Mosquitos were out in swarms, forcing most campers to hide in their RVs. Our neighbors from Canada commented the bugs were the worse they had seen in years. After two days, we were glad to be moving on. Lots of resupply options nearby but I would suggest avoiding the Texaco Gas Station right outside the Park entrance to the left. We pulled in and noticed low octane gas was $3.95 while down the road a few miles into town it was $3.15. Lots of signs warning about bears and to avoid leaving trash and food out. Of course, the nearby dumpsters were so full of trash, trash bags were overflowing on the ground. We have no plans to visit this Park again."
"This was a very nice park. I really looked forward to spending the weekend here but sadly, I could not make it through the night into the second day without being eaten alive. Just trying to walk around the park, the level of mosquitoes were so bad that I came back into my camper with mosquito bites on every exposed piece of skin on my body, my neck and my face and my feet looked like I had chicken pocks. Short of that, I may have given this park a five star review, so if you’re going there in October, hoping that it will be a little bit cooler and there may be less mosquitoes, sadly, you will be mistaken. There are a lot of good boating areas from what I could see upon first inspection. It was still daylight when I arrived, so I drove around the park and also took a spin on my bike. The state park rangers are always friendly and knowledgeable and the park with certainly well-maintained. The bath houses were pretty clean and all seem to be in working order."
