"This is an awesome way to spend your day. I have lived here my whole life and have never been here. I was so happy to have found this gem. A great 7 mile trek from start to end. Most of the walk is under the canopy so not to much sun exposure which kept me comfortable all day. I will say if you like to stop and take in the scenery, or pause for a lot of breaks or photos you are going to need insect protection. I stopped a few times and within seconds the skeeters were on me! The walk goes full circle so once you're moving there's only 2 options, keep going or turn around and go back the same path you arrived. I was on the trail by 830am and it was such a great day. I saw birds, snakes, boar, and bears! If you are trying to make a time or have a time constraint. This may not be the trip for you. Encountering the bears was super amazing. But, because they decided to forrage on the trail. I had to pause to allow them to do their thing. This pause took about 45 min. A mom and her 2 cubs encountered. Mom was getting a little concerned because her curious kids kept inching closer to the humans and she would charge at the cubs and scrape the ground ferociously which scared the $$$$ out of me honestly. But she didn't care about me she was just checking her kids. I have also visited again recently and saw manatee this time and what I felt was a Kiwi? I don't think it's possible but it looked just like one. The trip takes 3-5hrs + depending on your pace. There are no bathrooms on the trail so you are immersed in the xp. I saw people walking in tennis shoes, not recommend if it has recently rained as the path can be quite muddy! Check it out if you got the salt!"

"Great hiking spot, the total hike is 7.1 miles but you can turn around at any time. There are a few boardwalks but you are mostly walking on grounds which some are flat but most of the grounds are tree roots and not level. I recommend this trail only if you don't have any feet issues."

"Coming from an area where we don't have jungles or alligators, this place was awesome and kind of scary, in a real fun way. The trail is over 7 miles long but easy to walk. There are roots to step over and the mud can get slick. It rained a bit but the leaves above us kept us relatively dry. We loved looking for wildlife, especially the gators! Well worth coming here and hiking!"
