Havertys Furniture

"We recently went to the Havertys in Delray Beach and worked with Glen. He was great in showing us the chairs we were looking for without asserting his opinion or trying to make a sale. He gave us time to look around, pick out fabrics and let is borrow the swatches when we got back home. Two days later, we returned to let him know we changed our mind on the fabric because it looked like the wall paper in our lobby. Glen told us not to worry about it and took us back to the 100 fabrics again. My husband and I sat there watching Glen show up what the fabrics looked like on-line and on the chair we were looking for. (Very cool feature) In the end we bought the chairs which were readily available and could be delivered in three days. The best part is, we have three days to decide how we feel AFTER the delivery. If we aren't happy, Haverty takes them back and gives a full refund. Or if we decide to move forward with a different, custom fabric, that takes 8-10 weeks on delivery. Either way, the customer wins!! I usually don't like to shop with my spouse because we don't really like the same things and it can get frustrating, but this time, it was fun. I think we had a good experience because of Glen. He was easy to work with and had a fun sense of humor. I'd highly recommend if anyone is looking to buy furniture at Havertys, pls ask for Glen!"

"I am always happy to write a well deserved positive review and I wish this was the case with Havertys. Our experience so far has been just horrible and frustrating and one seemingly endless issue after issue. If it’s possible to purchase a lemon sofa than I am the owner. We purchased our sofa on 5/28/22 and took delivery 8/30/22. I will say our salesman Alan was great but it was all downhill from there. In less than one year a technician has had to come out 4 times for problems with 3 of the 4 seats, ranging from defective motors to extremely rigid and shortened pulleys. On 6/29 he was out yet again, only to advise us they sent the wrong parts. So now it’s a month and a half later and no parts still. Customer service has been no help other than stating they are ordering parts which either arrive and are wrong or don’t arrive at all. Shop elsewhere and save yourself the stress and hassle. We will contact corporate in an attempt to find resolution. Hopefully they will do the right thing. Update: Contacted corporate and they did the right thing and gave us full credit for the price we paid, and will remove the "lemon" when we take delivery of the new furniture."
