"I use the kayak and boat launch often and each time I've used it it's been great. I normally use it on the weekend and there is plenty of parking.water is 1ft - 2ft deep at low tide so if you have a big boat this may not be a good place to launch. It's a safe place and they do have other amenities such as a playground for the kids and a fishing dock where you can catch catfish, snook, etc.. please note it does cost 5.00 to park your trailer here."

"Public Boat ramp to the Alafia River. $5 ramp fee pay station. Hidden children's park with shelters, a huge covered BBQ grill pit, public restrooms, a large green lawn, and a boardwalk/dock (separate from boat launch) on the River. Very peaceful. Well kept other than the sand in the playground had weeds in it which I didn't mind. Lots of beautiful tall palm trees amongst a few grand oaks which provided alot of shade. The Civic Center is located here but we didn't go in."
