"Reading these reviews makes me sad as people just cannot be pleased. Of course you cannot be at the gym after they close without 24 hours access…. We love having the access. It’s so much cheaper than other gyms for our family WITH the 24 hour. We rejoined after being gone for almost 10 years. The bathrooms, lobby, and gym renovations are wonderful (praying the pool is next). The ymca is MORE than just a gym you have to know that when you become a member. It’s not just work out equipment there is a bigger picture people. It builds/helps families and creates memories. We recently felt comfortable to bring our toddler to be watched and the night time crew is amazing!!! Our girl LOVES going. Especially Miss Maria, Madison, Ally, Miss Evelina and I think her name may be Vanessa? They do such a good job and I’m pretty sure our girl asks for Miss Maria daily."

"Great place to work out. Everyone is wonderful. My child enjoys the childcare area. YMCA provides two hours of daycare. I don't know if we could ever work out as a whole family if it was not for YMCA staff."

"I have been swimming here for a few months now. Pool is only open from 7am to noon and then reopens at 4 and stays open till 7. When I signed up for the family membership they never mentioned that there are days that the pool may be closed due to university highschool swim meets. I started seeing a sign on the doors saying specific dates they would be closed until 615 due to the swim meets. So I was like well at least they informed us. Well then on Tuesday I went to go swim and it was closed the lady lifeguard said they pay a lot of money to rent the pool out. I said ok i pay as well. She said well they pay way more. I said well either way I feel we should have been notified in advance that the pool wouldn’t be opening at all on that day. I go there dressed in my swim attire I only bring back up clothes if the weather is questionable. So I didn’t get to swim or work out. Well then today Thursday it happened again they are closed again without notifying or warning us. You would think seems how they see me here everyday they are open they would say hey we are also going to be closed Thursday. Or when I complained about not being notified the first time they should have informed me about todays swim meet. I’m sitting here right now the swim meet is over it’s 615 but they won’t allow me to swim because they are having the youth swim team meets which I have swam while they have done their swim meets several times they only use like 3 or 4 of the lanes. I’m almost feeling as if this is personal."

"I just moved from Seminole county. I have been to YMCA of Orange County as well. I was not ready to see the outdated YMCA in Volusia county. I wish the county could afford to upgrade the equipment, refresh the bathrooms and shower rooms and open the swimming pool on the weekends as well! Not a great variety of classes. I miss my other YMCA. Hope for the changes to come"
