"We had a private tour on 1/12/2023 and it was genuinely an amazing experience. The facilities were well maintained at a high level of cleanliness and all of the bats and other animals there were in excellent condition. It’s evident that these beautiful creatures are being cared for in a stress free environment with plenty of attention. The guide we had, Maddie, knew each bat by name- there are dozens - so the fact that she knew each by name is indicative of the personalized individual attention these animals receive. As much as I wanted to, of course, touching the bats is not allowed; for their safety as well as visitors’. We were given skewers from which we were able to feed them cantaloupe. So fun to do! I would recommend Lubee to anyone interested in an up close educational encounter with bats."

"We went a little batty yesterday! Well, everyday really, but this was extra! This was a great tour, and fun feeding many, many cool bats of various species. The flying foxes were so interactive, and we loved feeding them cantaloupe. It was very entertaining watching them play with the enrichment toys to get their treats! Ziggy, the huge sulcata tortoise was cozy in his burrow, and Olive, the prehensile-tailed skink was beautiful and friendly. There were other fun creatures we visited with, too. Our guide, Maddie, was very knowledgeable and friendly, and you can tell how much she loved these animals. All of the staff were very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed this little 2-hour day trip and plan to go back! Thank you Lubee staff! ❤️"

"2nd year going to the batfest. They had a small hiccup with their computers checking folks in but outside of that the experience was wonderful. The bats are beautiful and the staff was extremely informative"

"We were so fortunate to get to experience the VIP tour Lubee offers, which gets booked up well in advance. If you love bats like my family and I do, the tour is so worth it. Anna was a great tour guide who introduced us to some of the many flying foxes they take care of, as well as Pumpernickel (an adorable Virginia opossum), Ziggy (a digtatsic African Tortoise), and other flying furry friends. We had the chance to feed some of the tenants cantaloupe, watch them eat baby food with enrichment toys, and we even got our very own painting from some of the more creative bats! They do amazing work with the animals, and it was a very intimate, memorable visit. Check regularly for openings like we did if you are really interested. Highly recommend."

"INCREDIBLY grateful to Tracy, who was able to squeeze in a private bat tour for my friend and I. We were visiting Gainesville from Ohio for a weekend and they were fully booked for the entire YEAR, but she made room for us to come see all the cute babies at the conservancy. Thank you Tracy and all of the bats for such an unforgettable experience!"
