Boulware Springs Park, located in Gainesville, Florida, is a popular tourist attraction and park that serves as a trailhead for the 17-mile Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail. In January 2020, a new metal roof was installed on the park's pavilion by American Roofing Company, a local business. The project cost $5,495. Boulware Springs Park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. from March 15 to September 30, and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from October 1 to March 14. "The old water works building is currently boarded up and awaiting repairs, so there are no restrooms here. There are some picnic tables and a nice pavilion though. The water fountain does not work, so no drinking water either. There are port-a-potties at the trailhead though."

"We took a bike ride on the Hawthorne trail beginning here at Bouware Springs. The bike trail has some hills at this point which makes it a wonderful place to ride. We road about 15 miles."
"Just park the car and start walking and you just be amazed at all the wildlife you'll see. Occasionally I see a person who lives in fear wearing a mask but for the most part it's a worry-free area open skies and trees and wind are a lot safer than a lot of people in a small enclosed space because when you look over the toward the prairie there is nothing out there but swamp and Gators so I took a few pictures..."
