"We are locals celebrating a weekend away. The Merriweather and Mary Jo were a SCORE!!! The location was perfect, multiple restaurants in walking distance, the beach was right across the street, the room and the entire small resort were immaculate. We had an efficiency which was excellent for small meals and even entertaining and having coffee while watching the sunrise was a bonus. Bed was comfy. Mary Jo is warm, cordial and extremely courteous and caring. Our furboy Lucki made a new friend in Mary Jo. The other guests and pups were very friendly and everyone was very friendly with each other. The next time we want a "staycation" without the big resort chaos... this is where we will come!!!!!"

"My group stayed at Merriweather Resort two years in a row and we’ve never had a better hotel experience. Mary-Jo and her team are extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. Fantastic location where you can walk to many great restaurants and also right across the street from the beach. Very reasonable nightly rates too! We hope to come back again next December!"
"Mary is the sweetest person. The place is very clean, extremely clean. The price is very reasonable for what you get. It feels like home, all kitchen things are very high quality. The beds are excellent, every thing is excellent. The only problem is that the beach right in front is not a kid friendly environment. This has nothing to do with the hotel, it is just the beach is popular with people that do not share family values"
