"Very clean rooms! Has several businesses attached to it including a pizza place and a restaurant. New floors and bathrooms, but furniture and beds are outdated. And the building itself is confusing to get around. Very nice pool!"

"They are lucky I am even giving them a one star. I have never heard of any hotel that didn’t allow late check out. We stayed here last weekend on Saturday night of January 6th, checking out on Sunday January 7th. My mother and I traveled from out of town to visit family and she had recently received chemo as she is a cancer patient. She had a hard time getting up early that Sunday morning because of her weakness so it took her some time to get ready for us to check out on time and leave. It was about 10:53am when I called the front desk to request an additional 30 minutes and at first the lady said she could not allow it. I explained our situation and requested an exception to allow 30 minutes, and after much pleading with her she said she could only allow 15 minutes. Disgusted. Absolutely disgusted with this place. I understand if you’re short staffed, but due to a rare situation I requested an exception and the least she could have done was seek management approval. Unless she is the manager herself, then shame on her. Rushing my mom not only stressed me out, but it also stressed her out. Our stay here started off well, but ended horrifically. This service was not only bad, but it’s taken very personal, and I will never stay here again, and do not recommend."

"This hotel has been around for decades. It's conveniently located off Southern Blvd. Website says they have added a new building with upscale improvements which you will pay more for. You can get a basic room for approximately $88, in the original building. There is a pool or pond/lake in back for a room with a view."

"Myself and family members have stayed here many times over the last 40 yrs and have never had any problems. It is not the 4 Seasons or Marriott. You have to accept it for what it is, a basic hotel, that is clean, cheep with a large beautiful pool and a restaurant attached. Most recently, we needed a place to stay after having a house fire. We needed something quick, cheep and close to were we already lived. We stayed here for 1 1/2 wks. We rented a suite which had two beds and a pullout couch, a kitchenette and a covered porch with a great view of the water. It had a full fridge and freezer, which we needed as we still had to go to work and feed our family. It was clean and had everything we needed. There were no noise disturbances, nor did we see any illegal activity, even when leaving at 5am for work. No one bothered us and when we needed something, the staff helped us. In saying that, there is room for improvement. The housekeeping staff could work on their friendliness and the hotel should upgrade the quality of the mattresses. I have heard many negative comments about this place over the last few years and just wanted to let people know the truth, from someone who has actually stayed there and has recommended it to others."
