Westgate Resort

"My wife and I are owners here in Orlando Florida we use it every other year . The rooms are very nice and clean . They have several restaurants on site . There is an Italian restaurant, Mexican restaurant. And an American bar food restaurant. We did eat at the Mexican restaurant and the food was good the service was excellent the prices are fair and if you are an owner you will get 15%off your bill. There is a nice water park and about 10 pools . The only issue I have here is that they constantly try to upsell you to buy a bigger share . But you can rent a room or do a tour for basically nothing as long as you do the tour . And this way you will find out if this is for you or not ."

"Do NOT stay here. And if you do, do NOT stay in building 6100. My husband took me there for my birthday and we had a horrible experience. Only positive thing was that it’s close to Disney. 1. They do NOT clean well. Dirty dishes, mold and mildew in bathrooms and above kitchen stove, rusted dishwasher, mold in washer appliance. 2. We found a HUGE cockroach in our room and killed it right away. Called and asked for pest control. Woman rushed my husband off the phone and was rude. Said they would have it done by the time we came back from Disney. They left a light on to “let us know” they had come. But they didn’t spray anything down. 3. Worms and spiders outside our room and on each floor. I saw small bugs on counters and on the walls in the bathroom. 4. In attempts to make my day special, my husband asked if they would do something small for my birthday and they said they wouldn’t and was very dismissive."

"In my honest opinion This is the WORST place you could ever visit to stay in orlando. I when with my family, we rented a Studio Villa for 3 nights. When we first got to de hotel they don’t sent any confirmation so we had to wait for 30min in the lobby. They CHARGE YOU NO MATTER IF YOU ALREADY PAID, the hotel charges a resort fee of 24.99 plus taxes per night. We get to the rooms and there was one bed with a blanket the other bed no blanket. The hotel makes an invitation for a presentation of buying a property, during the presentation you get to see the properties they have available. Before the presentation they state that you are not obligated to buy. We where not interested we said no and they literally almost forced us, we denied but it was really uncomfortable situation. WATER PARK IS NOT INCLUDED, IS 25 DOLLARS PER PERSON/PER DAY. Finally, on our check out day, we come to find out that the hotel have lack of communication with their costumers they don’t sent you any notice of when you need to check out so it we where supposed to check out by 10am. Since we did not know we went out, when we got back they keys did not open the doors. So we had to got to go to the lobby and then back to the room and wait 15min for a security to assist us."

"The resort was easy enough to find but reception to check in wasn't. It wasn't very difficult per se, but the signage was difficult to read while driving. I was able to find reception easily enough. The folks behind the desks were friendly and helpful. The villa I received was decent. The rooms were large and each had it's own bathroom. The units are all B+ class, so not ultra luxury but they are priced well for what they offer. The amenities are standard for these types of resorts, including a full kitchen, a small assortment of utensils etc. Although the resort was busy, the villa itself was quiet and enjoyable. We did not plan to stay at the resort during the day so I can't comment on the activities offered."
