"Nice room looking out on the gulf. Location is great. Check in/out is easy. It’s older but has all you need for a beach stay in AMI"

"The manager Marty was incredibly attentive and friendly. She really takes care of the guest. The rooms are a little outdated, but the service and the view to the beach are amazing (for me this were much worth). We really loved it."

"I had my birthday weekend there. The Manager Marty's attention to detail and level of class was way more than anyone could expect. Dream Island is a hidden gem right on the most beautiful beach in the country. I highly recommend it as a place to have an event/party, vacation or just a getaway."

"Room with spectacular view. Right on the beach, and Marty was great! Room had filthy floors, sagging beds, and toilets hardly flush. Pile of crumbs under the toaster BUT Clean hot showers and lots of games and things to do on the beautiful patio over looking the ocean. Pet friendly a big plus! Great location!"

"Booked 3 nights in a gulf front room at AMI Dream Inn with high hopes (after reading very mixed reviews) and unfortunately the negative reviews were accurate and exactly what my family & I experienced. Book with CAUTION! All appeared "ok" at check-in, and we headed straight to the beach which is the ONLY positive aspect of this hotel - the location & views are wonderful. Once we returned to the room to get settled in and shower, we started noticing all of the issues with this $415/night room: 1) The shower handle was broken (unable to adjust water temperature) and after notifying the office we were given 2 screwdrivers to attempt to fix ourselves & assured that the handyman would stop by the next morning. No one attempted to fix or even contact us for the rest of the stay about the issue, thankfully my husband was able to remove the broken handle and we used a screw to adjust the temp so we could bathe our 2 small children. The drain was also so clogged that water pooled during even a quick shower. 2) There is an active termite infestation in the room, there were very obvious piles of termite droppings in the kitchen and one of the TV armoires (pics attached) when we checked in that had not been cleaned. We constantly saw live termites around the bathroom sink. Notified the office and the receptionist acted very "surprised" and sent someone up to clean right away - but also mentioned that the room (and multiple others) had been treated for termites recently. I have no idea how cleaners would have missed the droppings if they actually cleaned the room. 3) ALL of the linens were stained & in need of replacement. Towels & washcloths excessively stained with makeup, bed sheets with rust (and who knows what) stains, blankets with holes in them. I asked the nice woman who came to clean the termite droppings for new towels and sheets and she graciously went and found some clean, unstained ones for us. 4) The bedding in the master had not been changed, there were long hairs on the "clean" pillowcases and in between the sheets. One of the pillows had mold on it when the pillowcase was removed. The comforter was soiled and also had not been swapped. The cleaner confirmed that they do not sanitize or change out comforters every time, only if it’s obviously dirty (eww). Thankfully, I was able to get a clean set of sheets and a clean blanket and I changed the bed myself. Overall, it's just a shame that there is no pride of ownership here. This place could be a gem on the beach but instead it's a run down place in serious need of an overhaul and change of management."
