Meliá Orlando Celebration

"Long but worth the read, we stayed for 6 days so I think we had a pretty well-rounded experience to reflect on. Pros: 1.good location as I had to visit the hospital and it was very close by 2. Super easy to get a late checkout 3. Very friendly and accommodating staff! 4. The food was pretty good at the Wilson (see below for details) 5. The atmosphere by the pool was very relaxing Cons: 1. We had to ask the front desk to have someone clean our room at 3pm after we had been away all day because housekeeping had not come even though we had the “please clean” sign up, (most other days the room was done by 12) 2. We had no coffee cups in the room until day 4 3. We only got a face cloth with our towels on one day, every other day we got 2 towels and 1 hand towel, but no face cloth 4. The pool and hot tub could really use a good cleaning on the bottom especially, hot tub had dirt or sand in it for 2 days before we left 5. Day 5 some company came to cut the bushes and were outside doing this very very loudly at 8am which we REALLY did not appreciate on vacation. 6. We had to send back our breakfast TWICE on the same day because the French toast was so undercooked/raw it was actually mushy and dripping both times. My husband didn’t end up eating anything that morning because of it. The manage offered to get something else but by then there was no appetite left. Overall it was an okay stay but we won’t be coming here again."

"We really enjoyed ourselves. The place, the people, the food, the pool is heated. I have it 5 stars. My only 2 issues (which weren't enough for me to go to 4 stars) was one, the automatic 18% gratuity. If I'm ordering TO GO, I don't feel like I should have to pay gratuities unless I want to. Number 2, the spa is technically not on the property. When u look at the hotel online, "spa" is listed as an amenity. The spa is part of the wellness center down the street. Though it's not far, it's not on the premises, and this was a relaxing vacation for me. Other than those 2 things, the hotel was great! And I really like the circular design."

"We stayed here for one night after travelling back to the Orlando area to get a flight the next day. The hotel itself is lovely and very modern. Staff were very nice and the room was nice and clean. Good size with plenty of space and a big bathroom. We liked the addition of the in room safe, plenty of sockets, fridge and clearly labelled complimentary items (bottled water, diet coke and 2 packs of crisps) First time I've ever been given a room key wristband, but it worked perfectly and was comfortable to wear (guess you can always put it in a pocket if you don't want to wear it) I agree with other reviews that day the resort fee is not clearly mentioned even booking the hotel on their website, this should be made much clearer. Yes it includes free WiFi and free parking (which can be expensive in other hotels in the area) but please stop making it a secret and make it very obvious! I also received an email a few days before saying I could check in online, and after entering all my details it got stuck saying 'contact pending' and didn't do anything else. It implied you could skip physical check in and use my phone as a room key. When I arrived and checked in I mentioned it hadn't worked and they just said 'yeah online check in doesn't work' so why send the email and waste my time everything information into the app? Turning left out of the hotel into Celebration Place is a bit of a nightmare when the roads are busy so be warned if you'll need to exit this way. Would definitely consider staying here again in future. Need to add the resort fee when doing price comparisons though."

"I personally really enjoyed my stay at this resort. Although the daily $35 resort fee can be a turn off as they don’t really tell you about it upfront. But aside from that everything was very well kept, modern, and clean. The room was immaculate. Was stocked with a good amount of complimentary snacks/drinks. Very spacious kitchen, nice size balcony, separate bathtub, modern bathroom and clean sheets. Loved the Christmas lights upfront too. Would definitely return again."
