Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

"Animal Kingdom Lodge is a Disney resort we have never stayed at before until recently. We only stayed overnight until our room at another resort was ready, and we found ourselves wishing we could have stayed longer! The views of the animals are awesome, with zebras, giraffes, ostriches, etc. Of course, depending on which room you get, you may not have as spectacular a view. However, that is easily remedied by the multiple lookouts into the savannah. There are plenty of wonderful dining options. Excellent seating areas are everywhere, most of which have a view. This is by far the most entertaining resort on all Disney property, with its opulent decor and quaint observation areas. One could easily spend the day here. The only con is that this resort requires a lot of walking. Especially if your room is further away from the resort entrance. Other than that, we adore it!"

"Beautiful lobby, very well decorated. Lovely fireplace with chairs surrounding it. In the back is a small fenced area with giraffes, zebras, ostrich and other wild animals for your viewing pleasure. This hotel is beautiful. The staff is super friendly. The staff offered to help families take photos and answer questions and guide us in the right direction. The hotel looked clean and well kept. Staff and guests were both happy and friendly. Disney hotels are on another level."

"Amazing to be able to wake up to giraffes outside your window and zebras grazing allow the landscape. Very enjoyable visit. Food prices are high and food is good. Location is a bit out of the way but that is to be expected. Service is amazing and the majority of employees are brought from other countries."

"The hotel is stunning, with a unique theme that is carried through to a degree only found at Disney. The animal viewing is also one of a kind. We paid for a “resort view” but could still see animals from our room (ostriches, giraffes, antelopes). There are also animal viewing areas for all guests. The food at the quick service restaurant is decent. The pool is terrific."

"The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the best places to stay. I kept hearing people say "It's too far from all the other parks and it takes forever to get to and from the resort." Don't let that scare you off, it isn't true. We stayed there for a total of 9 days and were very happy with the rooms, service, and distance was not an issue. The architectural theme and ambiance is second to none. Being able to wake up and have coffee while you look out at wildlife is pretty cool. It's definitely worth checking out. We were a party of 4 and were very happy for the entirety of our stay.
