"VERY tight spaces and streets. Check-in process needs to be fixed: we checked in online and were told we could then go directly to our spot. When we got there, our spot had changed and was still wrong, and they said we were supposed to go check in at the office, even though we checked in online. The Eustis/ Mt. Dora area is great, though!"
"Staff was great . Parking is tight and not for beginners. Leaving can be a nightmare. I had to knock on 2 doors to get out of our site and use 4x4 . One person wouldn’t come to the door(it was raining and this was the second day they needed to move) , the other guy complained about having to move( said he would get “run off” for parking in empty site while I left) Average age is probably 75-80 so if you’re not into cigarettes and shuffle board it’s prob not somewhere worth staying. Typical encore , with junky seasonal trailers . All activities are geared toward seniors. There is no playground and the pool closes at 5."
"While we're only here for 3 nights, we could tell right away Souther Palms is different right away! We were escorted by the most thorough gentleman to our site. Our check-in was a breeze. But what's "the touch" at this location are the regulars you have...they are so welcoming and friendly!!! They are attracted to your location because you take care of their needs so they can just enjoy their senior days....Great Job TT/Encore on yet another wonderful campground! We travel in a 42' class A w/Toad and received a very level, 50amp site, with a picnic table and all hook ups work perfectly! Keep up the great work your pride is reflected many times over in the people who stay here. ☀️"
"Loved this place. Everyone nice, helpful and minds their own business. Only reason we did not stay longer is that they did not have a lot available and could not accommodate us moving sites at a monthly rate to stay. Example: charge the monthly rate but move sites as needed to stay in campground. Great place!"
"We enjoy this campground and all the amenities! Pool, spa, fitness room, laundry and shuffle board. Different activities and gatherings at the local hall building. They have a nice dog park area for large and small dogs, right by the pond. Not too crowded, yet, but is is early November."
