"My room (#420- no I'm not kidding) literally smelled like urine. Even worse, the pillows and sheets somehow smelled like urine and fried food mixed. I woke up several times from putting my head in the pillow and having a revolting smell. I was there for work for 4 days and it never got any better! It was so bad that I sat at the desk working for 3 hours one night and never got used to it. Anytime I took a deep breath, it smelled very unpleasant. Besides that, the AC was set very cold the whole time and didn't respond to the thermostat at all. And the tile looked pretty old and not very clean. I'm pretty easy going, stayed in a hilton hotel over 100 nights per year for the past 2 years. I don't think I've ever wrote a bad review before this one, but it was pretty miserable. They need to remove that room from service and do a deep clean immediately."

"I was nervous about staying here based on the reviews, but I really liked it! The check in service was great! The location was very convenient for our trip to the keys. There was a fun brewery next door that was great for my entire family, and a good local restaurant across the street for dinner. Didn’t notice any sketchy people around the hotel. The room was very clean and no bad smell. The beds were comfy and we slept well. The breakfast was okay. They were running out of some warm breakfast items, but they had very good oatmeal toppings."

"My experience here as an ocean reef guest is the greatest especially the second time around and seeing the same faces from last season and also meeting new people such as the beautiful young lady Aracely from the front desk, everyone is so nice and respectful. I enjoyed the room service, coming from work to a clean room and also being able to do laundry and breakfast is pretty great as well. I definitely will be coming back after the season is over. They are like family here and I always feel welcomed. Thank you for the best experience!"

"This definitely an older hotel that appears to have been remodeled as a Home2 Suites. The hotel definitely showed some wear & tear. That being said, there was nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The 2 Queen suite seems to be the standard size - good for a two adults & two teens. The beds were soft and comfortable. They have a nice little outdoor seating area off the lobby if you want to eat breakfast outside or hang out in the evening. They had a good variety of breakfast options available. The pool is outdoors and is a good size. It is located where US-1 and the Reagan Turnpike join up, making a good place to stay if you are visiting the Everglades or Keys."

"The staff was extremely helpful and quickly made accommodations to help us. They sped up our check-in when we arrived too early and they were very helpful as we struggled to figure out how to us use the guests' laundry machines. Being able to wash our clothes after a lot of travel without having to get an Airbnb was a lifesaver. The location is excellent. You are ~15 minutes from 2 national parks (Everglades and Biscayne). There are restaurants within walking distance and there are plenty of sidewalks to use to get to them."
