"This is our 3rd time staying here in the past three years and it never disappoints. The staff and people make this place! Are the grounds perfect? No. Are all the sites sewer? No. Is there a few tight spots to turn in the campground? Yes but everything here outweighs the cons. The activities here are amazing for kids and adults. Such a family friendly place. The staff is actually welcoming and friendly to the children which is not often found. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They offer a pump out service if you don’t have sewer and the guy who does it is a great dude. The past two weeks are some of our favorite this entire winter in Florida. Thanks Peace River for giving us an unforgettable 2 weeks. Destiny and Christine deserve an extra round of applause for their activity planning. Ps. Don’t miss out on the adult bingo on mondays!"

"Sabrina and Hope are Super! The nicest women. They treat we guests so special. (They are the women who clean the restrooms) Have been traveling the US for years and they have to be the most respectful, kind women who work with the public that we have seen. All the other campgrounds can definitely learn from them. (As far as the campground goes, it's kinda hard to get a reservation. The $5 per package delivered there is too much IMO)"

"The entire place is being remodeled so the shortcomings can be forgiven. The sites are not well marked and there was only one site available when we arrives. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. I think the rating will improve with the other sites reopening."

"The young lady that stood at the counter inside the office, and then later in the day patrolled the grounds by golf cart, had a very nasty attitude towards guests. It was enough to never want to return. The man working inside the office at the time was very polite and helpful. The same girl that was rude and harassed campers, charged 5.00 PER package, even if you had nessessary medical equipment delivered, she threatened to return your items. We offered to pay with a debit card but she only wanted cash.We needed a receipt showing it had been delivered for reimbursement..We watched her take money from several people, charging 5.00 per package, but always required cash - no receipt. She'd obviously been making a sizable amount. It was terrible, as most people there, were elderly and displaced, due to Hurricanes at that time. People had to "come back at a later time to receive their package, "when they had cash". We spent an afternoon watching people come and go from the office.... retrieve cash for this woman, and return to get their items. One elderly man (a fellow camper) advised others to get a PO box to avoid her "cash in pocket policy", but unless you stay more than once, that was even more expensive to receive your supplies. No other campground we've ever been to, had a "cash only policy" and 5.00 per item was more than the original item usually cost. All other places we visited were very polite and friendly and accommodating. This woman had to be making a sizable amount weekly collecting cash from the elderly and displaced. She was THE ONLY ONE that ever did this that we were aware of."

"We got a good site. That’s about the end of the good stuff. Doesn't seem like they are doing the septic lottery right now. I wish they would have said something about the state of the river and campground. Main draw to come here is fossil hunting. River is in flood and half the camp ground is closed off and tore up. Nature trail is under water and you can’t get to the back of the campground at all. I should have done a bit of research before coming but I still feel bait and switched. If I were running the place I would put something on the site or at least Facebook clarifying the state of the grounds and river. Do your self a favor and check the height of the river before coming out here. As it is right now it’s not worth the money or time to come here.. Glad we shortened our stay from 4 to 2 nights. Off to better spots tomorrow."
