"I really enjoyed my experience with Emerald Sanctuary day spa. It was a very nice experience gifted to me by my boyfriend for my birthday. Krystal was professional and very kind. The environment was welcoming and therapeutic. Definitely a nice opportunity to take during a rainy weekend. I had the 50 min couple massage with my partner. It was both firsts for us, and I look forward to coming back to try another service."

"What business has a mandatory required minimum gratuity before you receive any service? What company sets the percentage amounts you should pay in gratuity before they know if you're satisfied with services rendered ? Well that would be emerald sanctuary Day spa No mention of a required minimum 18% gratuity BEFORE you even receive your massage. we had a couples massage and on the form listed the areas we wanted extra attention and neither one of us got that extra attention in the neck and shoulder area that we listed on the form. These people were not willing to give any sort of credit and were only willing to give a 10% discount if we rebook (we live in a different state )which means I have to spend more money to get a discount but they really didn't care that I was dissatisfied in the first place. As a matter fact I asked for a screenshot of where it showed on their website about the gratuity and I never received it from them because there is no place that shows that. The 1 star rating includes the spa not working with us to actually make this a more satisfactory experience and offer some sort of credit back. They say they pride themselves on Customer satisfaction but from everything that I have been messaged, NOT over the phone... has not sounded anything like they want to resolve a problem. and that's if they even message you back which they have ignored me as well. In my state we get to choose as a customer what percentage tip we would like to leave according to the service that was rendered. They claim that I was enraged which is incorrect because they never talked to me. My comment was that I was upset that they expected a required mandatory tip before I even got a massage and I would like to tip according to how satisfied I was with a massage and since it was lacking I would not have chosen 18%. By "enrage" as you put it was misinformation about expecting a gratuity before, let me say that again BEFORE you even get a massage and don't know what the therapist is going to do ....that's highly unprofessional I never said I would not leave a gratuity but to expect one before you get a massage is not the way to go about doing business . A tip should be based on the service which in this case was not totally satisfactory. And as I said the lower back was done well but the neck and shoulders were not and you were not willing to do anything about it and were rather rude and sarcastic to me so I don't see that as wanting a customer to be satisfied. You never did send me that screenshot where it says on your website about the gratuity and I never saw it. I believe on your form that we filled out it stated a MANDATORY gratuity for the amounts that your business sets, not the customer All of this could've been settled with a simple phone call from the spa and an adult conversation, which did not happen."

"The space was very relaxing and clean. They offer a wide variety of services, I wish I had time for more! My massage therapist took the time to go over with me pressure and areas that I wanted worked on. She frequently checked on me with pressure and making sure I was comfortable. I enjoyed my time at Emerald Sanctuary Day Spa."

"My husband and I went here for the end of our honeymoon and it was his first experience getting a professional massage. Upon arriving at our scheduled time the door was locked which was odd and someone came to the door after a few minutes. We got checked in and waited for our room and once inside we were told the normal “get undressed to your comfort level”. My husband was uncomfortable taking any of his clothes off, but I have had massages before and don’t mind being mostly undressed. They come in to start our couples massage and everything starts fine, but we could hear them snickering, mouthing things to each other and they were doing some gestures of some kind to each other it seemed. I can’t say they were making fun of one or both of us, but either way it was rather unprofessional and annoying the whole time. The massage therapist I had also kept rubbing a bad bruise I had after I pointed out to stay away from that area and she verbally confirmed that she would. On top of that the massage itself was mediocre at best and for the prices I really expected better. It was like they were just going through the motions. This place had a lot of positive reviews so I was very surprised at the unprofessional treatment we got."

"The most amazing facial and massage I’ve ever had!! I felt giddy afterwards and super relaxed. My mother-in-law and I did the service together and we wondered how we would be able to drive out of there!! Definitely recommend this business. We will be back when vacationing in the area again!!"
