"Dr waldheim took my dad off of a blood thinner, the only medicztion keeping his Stent clear because he was anemic and thought he was having some internal bleeding...no bleed just anemic. His cardiologist was pleased I refused to take him off completely. Always practicing"

"This office used to be great but since switching to Advent Health, the customer service is absolutely horrendous. I was unable to get my heart medication renewed without several phone calls which is pathetic enough. But now my mom has a potentially serious head injury and has called several times. The office has not called her back. With them supposedly responding in order of priority, it seems like a head injury would constitute. If you need a doctor, I highly, highly recommend looking elsewhere."

"I used to love it when it was Maitland Family Practice. They sold the practice in January and I just received a letter two weeks ago that my provider will no longer e seeing patients. He was a great doctor. I have moved on to another practice because they had not transferred ny medical records yet and I did not want to wait."

"I have been a patient of Dr Pursley since he joined Maitland Family Practice around 1997. I have always found him to be professional as well as open and receptive to my concerns and health issues. He is kind and very knowledgeable about anything I ask him about. I trust his judgement concerning medications he recommends for me. I have referred several friends and family members who have been equally happy with his services. The practice itself is a busy one and there are times when I’ve had to wait an hour or more. It is usually at the end of day when even one late appointment can throw off their schedule. He always apologizes. I think it is reasonable to assume one is going to wait when seeing a doctor. The staff has always been kind and professional. I can imagine what it’s like to work all day with people who don’t feel well. Challenging, I’m sure. I feel I am in competent hands by being associated with this practice. I would pay out of pocket to remain their patient. Excellent health care is very important to me."

"I had made an appointment with this practice some 5-6 months prior to come in for a new patient visit. There was apparently a significant wait to be able to come in and having to wait for 6 months was the earliest that they would be able to see me. A day before my scheduled appointment, I called the practice to confirm that things were still scheduled since I hadn't heard a word from them since first making the appointment months ago. To my surprise, there was no record of my appointment in their schedule. They were able to find my name via my birthday, and they knew which doctor I was supposed to go and see, but no one had added me to their schedule. I was told that if I wanted to come in and see a doctor for a new patient appointment, I would need to wait another 5-6 months. No one who I spoke to was willing to take responsibility for the error, and it was even suggested to me that I might be happier with another practice. I found this suggestion to be very discourteous, as was the behavior and tone of this staff member. After speaking to other members of my family, I found that this practice had also ignored a previously scheduled appointment for them earlier last year. I will not be trusting my health to a practice that cannot be trusted to schedule appointments correctly."
