"PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS !!!!! in 2003 I Went to Dr Brent Myers with horrible stomach pains . I asked him if i could have a parasite . He laughed in my face. After several months he did blood work and endoscopy I was told I had irritable bowel syndrome and that I would have to live with it. I asked if he would please check for parasites and sure enough I had a dientamoeba fragilis . I was in unbelievable agony . I was given iodoquinol which seemed to work but the infection returned several times over the next three years until I finally found a Parasitologist that finally cured me."

"A month and a half of waiting for an appointment I get there and I'm advised that there is an authorization required from my primary care. I was advised they had requested it twice from my doctor and had not received anything. I got a hold of my doctor's office they did not receive any requests. The receptionist at digestive specialists (with a non chalant attitude) confirmed the fax number. It is not a surprise that the fax number was incorrect. After waiting another hour to get the required authorization I am told that I need to reschedule because they still have not received the authorization. I called my doctors office the fax line has been busy for 10 minutes. I asked the receptionist at digestive specialist if she would confirm the fax number she had. I had asked her 4 different times would you please look it up. She seemed like she was being put out by doing her job by looking it up just to confirm we had the right number. After all this, I got the authorization but I was still told my appointment was earlier and therefore I must reschedule. I could not get another appointment for two more weeks. I will not be coming back to this doctors office. The receptionist was very uncaring, unemotional and just plain cold. It took a lot for me to even make this appointment, it was a big step for me to start trying to figure out my digestive issues. Well if this is what I have to go through, I will keep the pain and aggravation of my digestive issues!!"

"Office staff here is uncaring, impolite, and just rude! After an appointment two months in advance and after sending insurance information two months in advance, the office staff first said a referral from another physician was needed. This was incorrect. After calling the insurance provider myself, they said they did not participate in the plan at all. Throughout the conversation the office staff here talked down to us as if we were children and even threw in an eye roll when I tried to explain my understanding of the plan. The office staff here is uncaring, rude, and doesn't mind showing you that quickly."

"I was first referred to Dr Myers when my mother was still living and in a nursing home.He came out to see her on a weekend, diagnosed her problem, got her admitted to a hospital and performed a multi-hour surgery on a Sunday. When I reached a point where I needed a gastro doctor I naturally went to him. He is very attentive during his exams and pays attention to what you have to say. I have had a number of procedures (colonoscopy, endoscopy) performed by him over the years and have always been very satisfied with the results as well as with the staff at his facility. I highly recommend him."
