"I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Lugo and the staff at OEH for the recent care and surgical procedure my horse, Cookie Monster received this past weekend. I was overwhelmed by the kindness, compassion and especially the patience and time that Dr. Lugo spent with me and my husband as my heart horse underwent a stifle procedure for a torn meniscus which turned out to be worse than originally thought. He was in touch with us throughout the weekend during evening hours (unbelievable) and great appreciate his help and concern when Cookie was having issues during post recovery. The Ohio State University would be very proud of their Dr. Lugo!! Special thanks to Dr. Kissler who was on top and fully present recognizing Cookie's distress Friday evening after his surgery and being very pro-active about it as she truly may have saved Cookie's life. Also I want to recognize Travis, the anesthesiologist, who was on top of his game keeping my boy comfortable. Also thank you to Jesse who was there the whole time supporting the team effort.
