"I usually shop at Publix and decided to go to Hitchcock for a change. I like the cleanliness and layout of the store. They have some great deals on many products."

"Deli staff is rude, and more interested in giving you what they want you to have, with a whole lot of lip, instead of what you want even after they are told how they charge for 8 pieces of chicken (4 wings & 4 breast) is not an issue. 2 stars given due deli staffs communication and comprehension skills."

"Most of the employees are rude and carry nasty attitude.the food is way over priced. With all of the meat I’ve bought it usually looks good looking at what’s visible and then as soon as I get home and take it out of the package then the underside is brown and full of fat. Very misleading. Delivery service is very unorganized, rarely ever on time and sometimes doesn’t show up until the next day so that would only be good in an emergency but don’t rely on actually getting what u actually ordered bc I’ve received different from what I’ve ordered several times and then when u call the store they get rude and act as if they can’t right their wrongs. Done shopping with this place."

"Terry and the other chic answering phones need to work on customer service first and foremost...however beware when using the delivery service bc they brought my groceries over and hour before scheduled delivery and never called as they usually would therefore my ice was half melted and all of my cold food such as chicken cheese sour cream was all warm and nastv... When I called the female who initially answered the phone couldn't even let me finish speaking before rambling about how her car broke down off which had NOTHING to do with my complaint... then when Terry got on the phone the other female was still rambling over her so I told her to tell her to be quiet and then Terry proceeded to tell me that I knew I had an order coming so she doesn't know what to tell me then hung up...not too mention most the food is garbage and I only used this service when I'm working smh"

"The store is showing improvements. Went in around 6:30pm on a Saturday evening and the store was fully recovered, looked great. Was in stock of majority of items. Could tell either teenagers got jobs for the summer or have graduated and are at their first job...lots of young employees were on the clock. Seemed to be doing good, but need to be more social (no greetings/smile when passed on the sales floor, but was greeted by the cashier at checkout). In time, practice makes perfect. I did find some items that were out of date, unfortunately. Lots of new meat and seafood items, which is nice. No prices or sell by dates on some of the items though. The bakery has more variety now also. All in all, something has changed for the better in my opinion. Hopefully it will continue to improve."
