"Great store location, clean and selection very good. However, staff at service center and management personnel were rude. Requested that I return a very inexpensive item that was unused and resellable but they refused the return saying the receipt was over 6 months old even though they still sold the item. Nothing on the receipt showed this caveat, I was told this was on their website. Customer service called management to okay the return but this individual used very rude language in refusal to okay it. Customer service person was unapologetic, very disappointing experience."

"I was in the Destin Lowe’s three times this past week purchasing appliances. My first visit To y in appliances greeted me immediately and offered his help. Tony was amazing. I knew what I wanted and Tony immediately made his recommendations and proceeded to check me out. He literally initiated and accommodated all my needs. I had to go back two days later to get another appliance. I asked for Tony but he was off that day. I said I was willing to work with any one that day. The person I spoke with totally disappeared immediately. I thought maybe they were going to get someone else to help me. 30 minutes later I just left the store. No sales person in appliances was any where to be found. I returned the next day hoping Tony would be there but he wasn’t. Two employees were talking to one another and when they saw me approaching the desk they literally turned and left. Not to be seen again. I ended up waiting 10 minutes and because I didn’t want a repeat of the day before I went to the customer service desk and order my appliance with Reacha who was just as accommodating as Tony. It’s a definite hit or miss at this Lowes."

"We recently purchased a brand new golf cart and upon arrival, it was delivered damaged to our home. The delivery driver was helpful and patient and took pictures of the damage and walked us through the process of what to expect. We were told someone (a Manager) was going to reach out to us which no one had. After no contact we contacted the store and got the same store associate (Maddie) who helped us initially with our in store purchase of the new golf cart. Maddie is great, personable, very knowledgeable and honestly from how her customer service to her problem solving skills, she is an asset to the store and would make an incredible manager. Unfortunately Maddie had to pass us over to a Manager, after checking in with us she handed us over to the Assistant to the Assistant Manager named Tanya. At this point we were calm and very understanding that items can arrive damaged. Sadly, Tanya was extremely rude and very condescending. From the moment she answered the phone we felt through her tone and lack of questions to assist us that we were wasting her time. As an executive level manager myself, I am very perplexed how Tanya is in a leadership position to begin with. She stated that she was the highest level that I could speak to regarding the situation and that it was our fault. After talking over me and telling me she needed to pick up the damaged equipment immediately and a replacement was not an easy option, she hung up on me. This isn’t level of professionalism I would expect from a large corporation. These golf carts are worth more than a few hundred dollars. I would highly recommend if you have an issue at this store and “Tanya the highest level of the golf carts” is the one helping you that you ask to speak with someone else. Generally not one to complain to this level but this employee escalated the situation which a manager should have been able to do the opposite. I will be contacting corporate office and the BBB regarding our purchase. Sadly we have been loyal to Lowe’s and always enjoyed our purchases and deliveries from them, sadly this may make us shop elsewhere in the future."

"This Lowe's store is easy to find right on Highway 98 near the Destin Commons shopping center. When going West on 98, it has its own turn lane that goes directly into the store entrance. When approaching from the West, there will be a left turn required. It is safer to make the left turn at the light and turn right to go past the Whole Foods market to enter. Turning left from Hwy 98 to go into the entrance without going through the light requires zipping across 3 lanes of traffic. It isn't worth it as I have seen people take ridiculous chances to try and get across those 3 lanes. Lowe's has a great selection of grills, lawn mowers, light bulbs, plants, and too many household good to mention. We have purchased outdoor furniture for a patio, irrigation supplies, lawn fertilizer and manure, etc. The quality has always been good. Finding something in the store can be difficult as it is very large. I go to the internet site for Lowe's and it will reveal the location by bay number, etc. to find an item. This often works (but not always). It can be difficult to find a person for directions on a busy day in the store."
