"My mother was a patient of Dr. Gligich most recently seeing him on Tuesday, 4/6/2021. My mother has stage 4 metastatic cancer and is very weak. Her appointment was set for 2:40 on Tuesday for what we thought was to start her immunotherapy and chemotherapy. Because she is so weak it took an act of congress to get her there. After we waited patiently for her labs to be complete and for the doctor to see us, it was not 3:20. Dr. Gligich comes in the room and does not introduce himself to me despite never meeting me. My Mother says "I'm here" to which he replies in a very condescending tone, "congratulations". Then asks in a very demeaning manner, "how much weight have you lost?". After a few more questions and telling my mother her body is being "ravaged by cancer" (what a way to support morale) he says he is going to start treatment. He comes back a few seconds later and says it is too late in the day to start treatment and to come back the next day followed by him very rudely saying, "That is what happens when you show up at 3:30". I at this point curtly remind him that we had to wait for labs and waited for him for 20 minutes. He basically shushed me with his hands and says "alright alright" then leaves the room. I follow him out asking why they scheduled an appointment for her so late in the day knowing this might be an issue and his response was, "I honestly didn't think she was going to show up today". He then walks back to his office without saying another word, without giving my mother a prescription for pain meds she had asked for, and without any ounce of compassion. If you love your family member or yourself, do yourself a favor and do not take your loved one to this office for risk of being treated like we were."
