"Booked online for their Obstacle / Training Course and was absolutely blown away by the facility. Being our first visit, Crystalle joined us on the course in order to show us around, explain each of the obstacles, and the best ways to go about things. It was apparent early on my dogs loved working with Crystalle as much as they loved the course. Being able to rent the course for an hour and knowing it's just me and my dogs is a huge plus as they don't always get on with other dogs. "We were asked to take in Remy because of his severe resource guarding. He was actually scheduled to be euthanized due to serious, severe, and frequent bites. To say that it was a difficult situation would be an understatement, but we were willing to try. Enter Crystalle from Animal Academy of the Emerald Coast. She was there from the beginning, helping us to successfully introduce him to our other dogs and ensuring that the transition into our home went smoothly. She even spotted issues with our other dogs and taught us how to treat those through various training techniques to create a more stable and cohesive environment for all of our dogs. She then worked with us in person, over zoom, and over the phone to navigate Remy's extreme resource guarding. Through several months of training, hard work, and a lot of patience, he got better and better (and so did we with our dog parenting!). We are going on 2 years of being bite free!! I absolutely loved Crystalle as a trainer for multiple reasons. First and foremost, I admired her absolute respect and care for each animal as an individual. She is gentle, but firm, and recognizes that different dogs need different approaches. Crystalle also recognizes that different homes operate in different ways and is excellent at inquiring about routines and personalities in the home and then tailoring her training approaches accordingly. She also teaches and explains in depth - I learned so much from her regarding animal body language, thought process, and reactions. Crystalle is thorough, clear with her instructions and suggestions, but most of all, is compassionate to both her animal and human clients. I can't recommend her enough."
