"Our neighborhood Y, John Geigle in Pinellas County, is a well-organized, tidy, broad-based facility that offers a wide variety of activities, both social and athletic, to a diverse population age-wise. We were welcomed warmly by the friendly and very competent staff and immediately felt right at home. Neither of us had been anywhere near a gym in decades, but the non-threatening atmosphere quickly took away our apprehensions. We both are working with personal trainers through the Loyalty Program, providing support, structure, coaching and also the indepence to challenge ourselves to come to work out and grow on our own. One excellent offering is the Smart Start Program, which gives new members three one-hour sessions with a professional staff member to evaluate goals, provide introductions to the variety of equipment available, and most importantly, train and teach safe techniques to insure the best possible outcome and avoid injury. Each day we come to the Geigle facility we take a moment to reflect on how grateful we are to have this super facility and incredible staff literally a mile from our home."

"Visited this YMCA while down in the area, enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly, professional, and helpful. My wife really enjoyed the yoga class she attended. I used the pool, which is outdoors and very nice. The pool is kept warm and there was a lan available for the lap swimming I came for. The lifeguards were helpful and directed me to an open lane. While I was swimming a water fitness class was going on and looked to be well attended. The locker room was clean, as was the rest of the facility. Many people were outside playing tennis. Will visit this YMCA again, definitely recommend."
