"Dr Jacob ordered a MRI for our daughter and the MRI center was trying to get approval from our insurance company. The insurance company wanted to confer with the prescribing doctor before approving the MRI. Instead of denying the claim they talked Dr. Jacobs into retracting the order citing they were not sure if it should be with or without contrast. The MRI center said that was ridiculous because a contrast MRI had nothing to do with my daughters case and if it was needed it could be done at the time of the MRI. When I called Dr. Jacobs and asked WHY he allowed the insurance company to back him off he became irritated, pompous and hung up on me. A few days later we received a letter from his office stating they would not accept us in his office any longer. I could not believe after 18 years of going there and all the misdirected diagnosis of my daughters condition that he could turn his back on her. When the doctors start giving in to the insurance companies and think they are above the patient questioning their actions we have a series problem."
