"I felt as if they consistently treated my two year old child as if he was a dog at the vet. This says it all."

"Was recommended here cause we were having problems with our other peds. I see now those problems i can live with. I don't really like shands or any thing associated with them, just for the fact that they are a teaching hospital and everyone that is learning is practicing on you or your children. But to be specific we have our doctors appt in Sept. and we could not wait till then cause my 2 month old is teething. When I called I was told a nurse would call me back, which they didn't until the next day. All I wanted to know was the correct dosage to give of infants pain reliever. The nurse I talked to kept telling me the dosage is .8 mg...well mg is for mass, whereas i needed to know how many ml to give which is for liquid. And i kept asking her that i need to know how much in ml is .8 mg and she kept telling me to look on the back of Tylenol. Seriously? For one Tylenol doesn't do infants pain reliever any more. and second on the back of infants pain reliever it says consult your doctor when giving it to someone under 2 years of age. But I had gotten no help from that nurse. She obviously either read what the doctor gave her wrong or the doctor is wrong. I don't know. I won't go back though if they cant tell the difference between mass and liquid."
