"This is the one of the few spaces the University of Florida has not messed with in some way or another, and I love that! From my first day, at the "University of Florida, Freshman Orientation," in May 1985, through to today, May 30, 2023, the building remains much the way it was then. I have seen Stephen Stills, in that Auditorium, too, (another fantastic memory!) The acoustics are great, the bones are solid, and the atmosphere is filled with tons of incredible memories. Sadly, the Plaza of The Americas across the street, changed drastically, and THAT was a HUGE disappointment. Leave the University of Florida campus wide open, and verdant. We need less bricks, less metal, ugly, "this could be anywhere" benches and less change. Charm is everything, and the University Auditorium still holds tons!"

"The University Auditorium, originally known as the Memorial Auditorium and sometimes called the University of Florida Auditorium, is a historic building on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, in the United States. It was designed by William Augustus Edwards in the Collegiate Gothic style and was built between 1922-1924.[1] It was restored and expanded in 1977 by architect James McGinley. The expansion, which added a new entrance and lobbies, was designed to complement but not match the original architecture.[2] It is a contributing property in the University of Florida Campus Historic District which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 20, 1989. On April 18, 2012, the AIA's Florida Chapter placed University Auditorium on its list of Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places."
