"Course is like similar other courses of a municipal nature. Wide open and very laid back. They are also the closest bar to Manatee Springs State Park. Be advised that I was told today that you cannot go have a drink at the bar unless you are golfing. The woman there said it was part of their liquor license. Who knows. I have never heard of that but you are also in a town of 3k people. So while their website advertises a bar there is a catch. If you are looking for a cold one, head to the Billiards Sports Bar in town."

"Love this course. Great layout and the staff is awesome. There is one serious problem playing here though. There is absolutely no golf etiquette. 5 and 6 people playing in one group and please inform your golfers that it is courteous to allow smaller groups to play thru. I was a single player and it took me 21/2 hous to play 14 holes. I finally just quit."

"We recently had the opportunity to play at Chiefland Golf and Country Club, and while the overall experience was pleasant, I must note that the greens were quite sandy. The course layout at Chiefland Golf and Country Club is both challenging and picturesque. The lush green fairways are beautifully maintained, providing a great backdrop for a round of golf. However, the greens, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations as they had a noticeable sandy texture. This made putting a bit more challenging and less enjoyable. On a positive note, the staff at Chiefland Golf and Country Club were friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. Their knowledge of the course and willingness to assist added to the overall positive experience. I'm giving 5 stars because if the greens are back to normal, it is absolutely deserving of a perfect rating. The potential for an excellent golfing experience is there, pending the greens' condition."

"Golfed there this morning. I had the WIND FM golf card, supposed to only pay a cart fee. The woman behind the counter charged me an additional $18.00. Said " that's what members pay". I'm sure they don't pay a cart fee of $18.00. So using this promotion card was useless. The greens, or majority of the greens were covered in sand. Some as thick as 1/8". Nothing to write home about here. Not really worth the money, or extra cart fees for this course."

"Understand maintenance is required but this course was not worth the time or price. Greens punched and sanded but not rolled or watered in. Fairways really rough looking."
