"If you love your parents please do not send them here! My father was there over a year and a half and did not get the proper care he deserved my father deteriorated exponentially while there, mentally, physically and emotionally. I transferred my father to Parkside Rehab (which took forever due to the staff at University Center East and west dragging their feet) for long term care and already received multiple phone calls on how to best care for my father including, physical therapy, tv time, games and other activities. They even made it a goal to keep me up to date on his health. In the year and a half my father was at university they had never done that or even inform me that my father had gotten sick a few times. The facility is dirty, most of my fathers items are missing and un accounted for and really, I could go on and on about how terrible this place is. I almost never leave reviews but this is one of those times that I must or the sake of others. RUN AWAY FROM UNIVERSITY CENTER EAST AND WEST FOR THAT MATTER!"

"These people are RUDE!!! A family member called up there to see if they had any beds available. The woman who answered said NO, WE DON’T HAVE ANY BEDS AND WE WON’T GOR A LONG TIME SO DO NOT CALL AGAIN! Learn how to speak to people, lady! Especially to people concerned of a family member and trying to find them a place to stay. Obviously these people have no compassion at all, so I wouldn’t consider that place even if they did have a bed open, even if it was the last place on Earth. If you are so miserable there, find a new job!!!"

"I normally don’t write reviews, but this place is such a disgrace that I had to share. My grandpa has been in the hospital twice in a month because of lack of responsibility by the staff here. They do not care the about safety of their patients. My grandpa never has his own clothes and his personal belongings are always being taken from his room. This place has no responsibility or care for anyone or their belongings. If you are going to work in Healthcare then actually, do your job. The staff refuses to meet with the family and is illegally withholding medical records. Because they know that the staff neglects the patience. The administrators are useless and liars. The so called “nurses” allow the patience to be physical abused. This facility is dangerous and should be shut down. Do not send your love ones here because they will experience neglect and abuse."

"If I can give this place no stars I would. I went to visit my uncle today who has Alzheimer’s, found him on his bed in underwear, no pants or shirt on, laying there freezing. Nurses turn their back for a second and this guy repeatedly starts punching him in the chest and my uncle screaming for help and we begin calling nurses and they take time to stop it. His lips were dried out like they aren’t giving him water or anything at all to drink. He’s lost about 15lbs in less than a week. He told us he’s scared and the other gentleman has attacked him twice. Once we called Hospice to come, then the staff because we called hospice ended up switching the other gentleman’s room just because they knew they were coming. Place is dirty. Smells, staff stand around near the front and just talk. This is the worst condition I have ever seen my uncle. I understand he has Alzheimer’s, but from what I’ve seen with my own eyes there is truly unacceptable. I would not recommend this place for anybody’s loved one. People aren’t caring at all, don’t check on patients and let them do whatever they want. Update June 23, ‘19. We took my uncle to the hospital had scans and everything done. They told us he was extremely dehydrated and hasn’t been eating. Severe malnutrition. They haven’t been feeding him or letting him drink even a sip of water. Ontop of that the nurses here are all full of it. They honestly cannot work, I have no idea how they all were able to work taking care of others. The apparently have no type of training. Can’t even imagine how they run their own household."

"These people can't run anything properly. They owe everyone including staff that didn't get paycheck this payday. We call and complain to whomever we can but to no avail. Do not put your loved ones here and damned sure Don't work here. They use dirty linen on the residents they have no emergency back up power as of yet the kitchen gets up to 102 and staff is sweating over people's food. Toilet paper and paper towels in the nasty restroom are sitting on the back of the toilet. No real break area away from the residents. They don't have money to pay for anything but still want people to " work with them". It don't work this way people."
