"I would first like to say I appreciate that Dr Joseph’s office was able to get me in quickly after I was referred by the physician at the ER who had nothing but great things to say about Dr Joseph. But my low rating is due to how I was treated and made to feel even though my medical condition is not spine related. As a patient I was doing as I was told by my referring physician who thought my current pain may be related to a previous MVA. Upon my first meeting with Dr Joseph he told me that he did not think it was related to the spine and referred me to a different doctor, while ordering MRIs to confirm his suspicions. I appreciated that he told me he did not think he could help much, and could point me in the direction of someone who could. Again, I did what I was told and got the MRIs and came back for my follow up. The follow up appointment is the reason for the low review. I had already seen the results from the imaging center and knew that it was not related to the spine, however I wanted to be respectful and come for my scheduled follow up to discuss with Dr Joseph. I waited over an hour in the waiting room to be seen. Once I was finally called back to the exam room, the nurse asked me what my pain was. I gave her my honest response and she left the room to discuss with the dr. I then heard her telling Dr. Joseph in the hallway outside my door what I had just said, followed by m Dr. Joseph actually scoff at what she had told him. Two minutes later he walked into the room to tell me there was nothing “anatomically wrong” and that he could not help me. No follow up questions were asked and no concern or compassion held by him. I really went in there trying to be respectful of his time as I know he is very busy, but it was really disheartening to be invalidated and not have my time respected as well. Next time maybe a phone call would work better rather than 2 hours of my life wasted just to be made fun of in the hallway where I could hear the doctor. So rude and invalidating and I hope others have a different experience as my referring physician had nothing but praises for Dr. Joseph. Even though my condition was not something that could be treated at Joseph spine institute, it shouldn’t mean that my pain isn’t real. To hear that and then have 30 seconds with the doc after driving 45 minutes and then waiting an hour was definitely a disappointment. Again, thank you for the time even though my condition will not be further treated there. I hope that this review can give some insight that maybe certain conversations should be limited to private spaces and that patients can hear them. I hope no one else has to feel the way I felt today."

"I cannot say enough good things about DR. THUY NGUYEN! My situation deteriorated rapidly and he made sure I received the treatment I needed quickly, without sacrificing quality care, and I ended up with fantastic results. When he says minimally invasive, he means it! He uses state of the art approaches, not just before and during surgery, but post op as well. I’m doing so well that my husband is now going to go to him to address issues that have bothered him for years. His office staff is wonderful too, I deal with Abby a lot and she is amazing as well. I would give him 10 stars if Google allowed it."

"It’s been a long journey but the overall experience and care from the Joseph Spine family has been outstanding. The only issue (not pertaining to or in the control of Joseph Spine) would be the time between visits for procedures due to insurance requirements prior to approval. Average length of time for completion of a Radio Frequency Ablation is 3 months. After a year of intermittent visits, I believe this facility has done their best to get my recovery between 80% to 90%. Very thankful for all medical staff and especially Dr. Nguyen, Mr. Brad (Radiologist) Ms. Jasmine and Ms. Abby."

"Most of the office staff is great. Dr. Ron Chatterjee is amazing. He did everything possible for my low back pain. Then referred me to Dr. Thuy Nguyen for surgery who performed my surgery in December (and my pain is almost gone). The surgery process was good. Nurse Sandra was GREAT. She helped me through the entire process from scheduling to insurance issues. Sandra and I talked for months and was there every step of the way until everything was ready for surgery. Sandra is AMAZING and I'm so happy she helped me so much... she deserves and big raise. The only negative comment I would say about Joseph Spine Institute is Tara in the billing department is not professional and should NOT be working in the public. She needs NO contact with any patient or general public. She is rude and continues to blame others instead of listening and doing research on questions. Also I was billed for a back brace for after surgery and my insurance did not pay 100%. I had to pay out of pocket over $900 and when I did my research I found JSI billed the insurance company over $4000 for it and when questioned Tara said yep that's what the doctors decide to charge the insurance however when I searched prices for this exact brace I found it online for less than $500. Again instead of Tara saying let me looking into or let me see what we can do. She said yep that what we charge. Overall JSI is great and I would recommend them however don't deal with Tara at all costs."

"Whether seeing Dr Chatterjee or another staff member every visit has been amazing! Attention to my concerns is a priority by everyone. This team of professionals are highly proficient as well as kind & caring. I highly recommend Dr. Chatterjee and his staff and are thankful for the care that they have and are providing to me."
