"I was improperly billed by Arcadia Medical Associates. I have Medicare and I get extra help with QMB (Qualified Medicare Beneficiary). As such the law states that I'm not supposed to be billed for covered Medicare services. They billed me for 3 different service dates (going back about 4 months) totalling $317.61. That bill is dated 5/19/23. The part of that bill for service performed by my cardiologist on 4/12/23 was the worst instance of unethical billing. Medicare processed that claim on 4/21/23 - however on the AMA statement they billed me for the full amount even though they already received payment from Medicare. Medicare told me I don't owe them anything and I shouldn't have been billed. On the bill AMA sent me it even shows that they did indeed receive the payment from Medicare (for service my cardiologist provided on April 12). So in essence this amounts to the shady (and unlawful) practice of double billing - and also inappropriately billing a Medicare QMB for a covered Medicare service. I advise everyone using this company to double check all bills and know what's legally allowed to be billed. Hopefully they will rectify this in a timely fashion so I won't have to file complaints with the government agencies. I tried calling them but they seemed confused about what was going on. They tried to bill my secondary Medicaid insurance first (before Medicare) for that 4/12/23 sevice with my cardiologist. Which is improper and why Medicaid denied it (before Medicare paid on it). *UPDATE: I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on 05/27/2023."

Great customer/patient care."
