"In the past Dr. Kellen tried to refuse to prescribe me birth control bc of his religious views and the fact that "a woman doctor should handle this." Today he refused to even see me after I spoke to his nurse about needing to start medication again, one of which was to help me sleep, but they told me they couldn't provide a medication like that, which seems untrue and ridiculous to me. They left me waiting on the zoom chat room until I realized clearly nobody would be coming back. I just don't understand any doctor or practice who blatantly refuses to prescribed completely common and normal medications."

"My Family Physician, Dr. William Zimmern, was out-of-town, so I made an emergency appointment with Dr. David Kellen who also works out of Baptist Medical Group Primary Care - Live Oaks. Dr Kellan provided me with THE WORST INTERACTION I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A FAMILY CARE PHYSICIAN - AND I AM 69 YEARS OLD!!!! He was cold, uncaring, and abrupt. I explained to him that I was seeing him to get a referral to a pulmonary specialist and neurologist because this weekend I had had a 2-hour spell of amnesia induced by a violent 15 minute coughing bout. I have had these coughing spell in the past, but they never resulted in amnesia. Dr. Kellen could not have cared less about me, or my concerns about damage to my lungs or brain. As he walked out the door of the exam room - not even looking at me - he begrudgingly said he would put in a referral to the pulmonologist and neurologist that I requested. I DON’T ACTUALLY TRUST THAT HE WILL GO THROUGH THE BOTHER OD CONTACTING SPECIALISTS ON MY BEHALF, SO I AM GOING TO CONTACT A PULMONLOGIST AND A NEUROLOGIST MYSELF TOMORROW!"

"Everyone is so friendly! Dr. Kellen took the time to listen to our health concerns without us feeling like he's rushed for time. He explained everything he was doing during the examination and his prognosis. He even took the time to explain the appropriate method to taking the medication. Our family has had to see him several times this year and it's always been the same excellent service."
