Hog Snappers (Tequesta)

"Hog Snappers was a great experience, I have been here a few times before. The location is unassuming, as it sits in the middle of a strip mall. The white lights they hung on the outside did a nice job of dressing it up and setting the mood for an evening meal, although we went for a late Sunday lunch the day of the AFC/NFC Championship games (NFL). When we arrived, they might have been at half occupancy, so we didn't have a wait (which was nice) but it quickly filled up. There was good diversity between the patrons as well. The service overall was great. We asked a lot of our waitress and she delivered. For starters (this rarely happens), we had to swap out a sweet tea (subpar flavor) and a coke (flat). We subbed those 2 out for a strawberry lemonade which was absolutely fantastic (5 out of 5). For our appetizers, we ordered the Crab Cake and the Lobster Bisque. While tasty, the primary meat in the Lobster Bisque was fish, however - the lobster was tough to find in it. For entrees, we had the Snapper Sandwich (asked to swap the cole slaw for lettuce), the Chef's Choice roll, and the Hogfish roll. The Snapper Sandwich was exceptionally dry, as they forgot to add the tartar sauce, and the spicy remoulade. Last, but not least, for dessert we ordered and devoured the Zert Roll (5 out of 5). It was unlike any other dessert we've ever had - I highly recommend you try it! Note: there is limited outdoor seating and they are expanding!!"

"What a place for fresh fish and sushi. Hog snappers brings you a wonderful experience inside of an unassuming exterior. A mixture of traditional fish, sushi, and some latin-food influence as well. We ended up ordering 7 different sushi rolls, and they decided to bring it out to us on the boat! It was all very good and we would definitely order again."

"Enjoyable laid back restaurant. Lucky we decided to try out, from the outside you wouldn’t know how good the food and service would be. The appetizer “U gotta try this” was very good for 5 of us very tasty and the Seared Black Pepper Ahi Tuna was nice. The ahi tuna and crunch roll entree was a large serving and flavorful. We will definitely be back when in town."

"The food here is delish, never had anything bad. Highly recommend. It’s gets quiet loud in there, and the service can be slow. Don’t go if you are in a rush or want a quiet place to eat. It always seems busy no matter when you go, great sign for good food."

"We are on vacation and this was our first night out to dinner, we enjoyed our experience.. Based on the storefront you wouldn’t expect what’s on the inside. It’s a bit of a tiki hut feel inside. The tuna and lobster tartare was excellent, and filled me up! My bf ordered the filet mignon which was very good, the wasabi potato was a nice touch. I ordered the strawberry margarita they have on the menu, I was not a fan because of the Smokey flavor, the bartender was very nice about it and made me something else. We ordered the sushi dessert to go which was amazing!! We Would go again."
