"I was having a bit of a gloomy day and the food and service here made my day brighter. I had never been here before, so I walked in, was immediately greeted, and then I beelined to grab a paper menu to stare at and figure out what I wanted to eat. I didn't stare for long before a cheery lady asked if I'd been there before and offered to walk me through the menu. I loved that she took the time to explain what I could customize, what size options were available, and what were add ons. I ordered a sushi burrito (pictured below) and a spam musubi to go. I had just enough time to find a seat and read a few pages of a book before I heard my name cheerily called indicating my order was ready. The food was great, and I like that they put the sauce on the side for the burrito because then my food wasn't soggy, and I got to control how much sauce I wanted for each bite. The sushi burrito was sizeable and more than enough for my late lunch. The musubi was warm, and I am a lover of Spam and rice, so it hit the spot. If you're looking for great service and solid food, give this place a try. I'm glad I did."

"This poke place is unique. When you walk into the restaurant, you can tell the owners put a huge emphasis on small details from the atmosphere to the food to the desserts to the drinks. This is a family owned restaurant, even the kids drew such beautiful artwork throughout the restaurant. My mother and I built our own poke bowls and it was an absolute delight. Rather than only offering raw fish as a protein for their poke bowls, they also serve a variety of authentic Hawaiian proteins such as Huli Huli chicken, Katsu chicken, Kalua pork and ginger beef as well! Not only is it a Hawaiian poke place, but they offer a wide variety of choices outside of poke bowls. My husband had the Crispy Chicken Katsu platter and he loved it! The perfectly breaded and fried chicken was tender and juicy on the inside, while boasting a satisfying crunch on the outside. We ended our meal with their homemade strawberry shortcake and banana cream desserts which were pure indulgence. There truly is something for everyone!"

"What a delightful experience! It's a new Hawaiian eatery located in Bloomingdale Plaza next to Hot & Crazy Crab on Bloomingdale Ave in Brandon. The crossroad is John Moore Rd. I'm so glad I read some of those Google reviews because they were totally on point. It's unique! I'm in love with it already. My first visit was a takeout order. I wanted to try everything, but settled for a few appetizers instead. The Bang Bang Shrimp and Spam Musubi really stood out to me. I also needed a healthy side and they have plenty. I settled with the roasted Brussel sprouts. All of it was still hot & fresh when I got home. The shrimp was large, crispy, and tasty. The musubi was full of flavor. I didn't know Spam could taste so good. The sushi rice underneath it was warm and comforting. That healthy side was a big surprise as well. The Brussel sprouts were also equally as good. I loved it all so much that I went back again. Today, I just had to try one of their signature poké bowls. There were also many canned and bottled grab & go drinks (Yeo, Hawaiian Sun, Celsius, Pocas, and more). I selected a chrysanthemum tea drink while I waited for my Voodoo bowl order. The Voodoo bowl had everything that I wanted in a poké bowl. It had tuna, salmon, crab salad mix, and good sized steamed shrimp. A very good amount of brown rice as well as edamame, avocado, and cucumber. There was definitely more toppings than rice. The yum yum sauce was excellent. Some poké restaurants rely on the sauces to make it all taste good. Well, not here. The sauce just added the right amount of flavor while letting the contents of the bowl shine through. Honestly, it was all that was needed. I could taste each and every ingredient. The fresh wonton strips were crispy. They garnish with tempura flakes and sesame seeds but I just couldn't pass up these fresh chips. It all comes with the bowl anyway. It was all fresh and delicious! The dine in experience was comfortable and relaxing. They had smooth tropical island songs playing lightly in the background. The kitchen is open which is also nice. There are vegan and GF options as well. The menu is well marked. They have Dole Whip! I didn't get to try it today, but I will soon. They also have dessert cups. I do want to get one of their Aloha platters next time. They have many from Huli Huli chicken to Kalua pork. It's a varied menu of Hawaiian classics including Kona dogs. However, it will be difficult for me to pass up the poké bowls and sushi burritos. I will be back for many more visits. It's a great hidden gem in the neighborhood!"
