"This hospital is horrible!!! They sent my father home with internal bleeding. Two pints of blood infusions then released the day after and let him figure out how to get to a GI doctor. Very very soon after they said. Do you know how hard it is to get into a GI doctor!! They did call to see if he made a appt with their team outside of the hospital, which I should say couldn’t get him in for almost two months. Even after knowing he had two pints of blood infusions and internal bleeding going on. Since learned this hospital was fully capable of taking care of these tests and taking care of the issue before releasing him. And they sent him home with urgently needed tests and care. Flew in from Denver the day they released him and he’s getting his tests. Don’t ever ever go to this hospital. Take the extra leap and go to fort myers. Had he gone there he would have been taken care of before going home. Seems to me this is not the oath doctors take when taking the oath to honorably care for a patient!!! Am so very disgusted. UPDATE 3 Days Later: My dad’s at HealthPark Medical Center. Thank God for this facility. He had to get 3 more blood transfusions. Like I said he keeps losing blood, his blood pressure was low, (just like it was at the Cape Coral Hospital which they felt was fine and sent home anyway). HealthPark admitted him, he had the procedure/tests he desperately needed, and definitely needs surgery in a few days after they nourish him well and put together a great surgical/recovery plan. (My dad is 80). If he would have followed Cape Coral Hospitals recommendation and waited another day for these tests, he wouldn’t be here right now. Thank You HealthPark for your kindness, ethics and professionalism. Please be aware of Cape Coral’s care facility if you need urgent care. Nurses and staff are kind so stitches shouldn’t be an issue. But critical decisions made by the doctors here are dangerous. Malpractice at its worst. They should have just transported him here if they didn’t know how to care for him properly. UPDATE 10 days later: Dads surgery and care at HealthPark hospital was successful. He’s still recovering but he’s 80 with determination and life to live that he’s so joyful for. 6 months ago he was dancing and it appears he’ll get to do it again. The team at HealthPark is incredible. Based on what we’re told, without this urgently needed care and surgery he would have died within a less than a month. Cape hospital was going to have him wait almost two months for an urgent procedure to find out what to do. PLEASE BEWARE OF CAPE CORAL HOSPITAL AND THEIR ETHICAL MORAL. I CANNOT SAY IT ENOUGH. I NEVER EVER DO REVIEWS. IN THIS CASE, SOMEONES LIFE COULD DEPEND ON IT. This hospital should be shut down or re-evaluated. Have talked to so many people that have said the same thing. I hope my review helps someone."

"I am writing this review in the hopes of catalyzing change and aiding others who seek healthcare at Cape Coral Hospital. While I commend the nurses at Cape Coral Hospital for their exemplary dedication and compassion, I must express profound reservations about the care provided by the doctors. Despite the commendable efforts of the nursing staff, the communication and diagnoses offered by the doctors were deeply concerning. Each doctor seemed to provide a different perspective, leading to significant confusion for my family. While I understand that doctors may have varying viewpoints on diagnoses, the lack of consistent communication between them and my family was unacceptable. Furthermore, it is deeply troubling that one of the doctors allegedly made my mother feel responsible for my father's condition. Such insinuations are not only unprofessional but also profoundly insensitive. My father made his own choices regarding his health, and attempting to assign blame to my mother is unjustifiable. Additionally, the most distressing aspect occurred after my father's passing, during the funeral arrangements. My mother was horrified to discover that my father's body was presented to the mortician completely naked. While I recognize the challenges involved, the failure to provide even basic provisions for dignity, such as disposable clothing, is utterly dehumanizing and deeply upsetting. I want to emphasize that I am not interested in hearing about how the hospital's care was deemed "sufficient" healthcare. Given the egregious amount of money that Americans pour into our disgraceful healthcare, being sufficient or status quo is not enough. Americans pay double what other countries do in healthcare and we receive less benefits for doing so. I want to emphasize that "sufficient" falls far short of what Americans deserve in exchange for their hard-earned money. Mediocrity cannot be tolerated in an industry that commands such significant financial resources. Sufficiency is not the benchmark; excellence should be the standard. Healthcare cannot afford to be complacent; it must continually strive for improvement. I firmly believe there is an urgent need for improved communication protocols, consistency in medical information, and a compassionate approach to the handling of patients and their families at Cape Coral Hospital. It is my sincere hope that this review prompts necessary changes for the betterment of all who seek care at your facility"

"I was in a bad car wreck and came in smelling like urine and looking like something the cat drug in and I was embarrassed and feeling the lowest I have ever felt and the all of the staff rushed to my side and took care of me like they were caring for their own family member. The doctor was amazing and fast getting me into xray and other scans and they effectively kept me in minimal pain as possible. Even the police were kind and talked to me like I was human and I was embarrassed in front of the male nurse aides and nurses but they quickly won me over and treated me with such kindness and respect that I let my guard down and let them work on me and this will always be where I want to go when I need medical treatment. I love all of you and I'm sore but am doing okay. Thank you to everyone at Cape Coral Hospital! There is a special place in heaven for all of you."

"I had to come in on Saturday night for an emergency and I couldn't have been more happy with the entire hospital and staff. I ended up needed immediate surgery and the ER team and the OB team worked quickly and efficiently to get me ready for surgery. It was the least stressful hospital experience I could have imagined. All of the doctors and nurses here really cared. Thank you all!"

"I could not be more impressed with the quality of care I received. I came to the Hospital through ER and since the surgery was needed immediately the surgeon was called around midnight to perform the surgery. Thank you so much to the surgeon and the team: everything went very smoothly and the recovery period was short because of that. I could not be more thankful to all Hospital personnel, I am so thankful to all nurses: everyone was responsive and courteous. I had the privacy of my own room, the food was great and I was impressed by the meal selection I was offered."
