The Food Factory

"An okay place, but the system of creating an account and using an app to order is cumbersome and unnecessary. Then, another process of ordering drinks adds to the frustration. The food was blah. My chicken sandwich from the Hen was room temp and just covered in sauce. The fries were good. The worst part of the experience was the drinks. They clearly use town water to make the drinks terrible. Town water down there was heavy in stink. They should get a filter for the bar."

"Everything about this place is so fun! I tried the seasonal Cinnamon Appletini (only $7 on happy hour!!) and the queen’s mare— a play on the moscow mule with blueberry earl- grey syrup. I sat at the bar, and ordered food conveniently from my phone. It came out quickly and hot, very tasty. The bartender, Jazz, was knowledgeable about the drinks and very friendly. I plan on coming back soon."

"Cool place to hang out with family and friends and enjoy the cooler weather. Currently there are only three restaurants open. The Local Hen, The Cantina and Buttercrust Pizzeria. Buttercrust pizzeria was really good. They have a full bar inside and there is table service at each table. Will be back soon."

"This is a fun idea that works so well in other cities and I hope it will eventually work well here. As it stands though - the price to quality ratio is not in the customers favor for any of the restaurants we’ve tried. We will keep trying as new places open, but I will not be having the pizza again. Fingers crossed for the future!"

"Finally! A place in Oviedo where you can get a solid cocktail without too many strings attached! They did a good job with the decor and the staff are very friendly. This is a good concept with a lot of potential. We went for their soft opening on July 26, and most of us had a pretty good time. It was clear they are going through growing pains and are fine tuning, but it was a positive experience. They only had two restaurants open at the time and their main bar. The Main Bar: Their drink menu for cocktails and mocktails are awesome. Drinks are fun and pretty interesting. We tried the Rocket Fuel, the Salty Nut Job, and the Smoke in the Factory. Each drink was delicious, well thought-out, but needed some work on the execution. (Again, the growing pains) For the Rocket Fuel cocktail, they are supposed to present the drink with a smoke bubble, but the bartender struggled with it. My drink was presented without it. (It was a little disappointing, but I get it. I would just recommend some practice instead of serving it without it) For the Smoke in the factory, it was made well, but the smoke didn't quite hold long enough. I would suggest a minute longer to really infuse the smoke flavor into the cocktail. The Salty Nut Job was beautiful and the grapefruit salt is the star of the show. The lead time for all 3 drinks took a bit as well, we were having a good time, so not too big of a deal, but imagine if they were slammed. I can see them improving once they get comfortable. Chicken Restaurant: We did not have a positive experience with the Chicken Restaurant, but the staff there was honest and apologetic. I was patient, and they comped the meal. I would give them another shot, since it was their first day open. I do think the portions are a bit small for the price, honestly. Flavors were good though. Overall: I can definitely see myself coming back as a local to hang here. It has a lot of potential and room for improvement. Be sure to check them out and see for yourself! Grab a cocktail or two!"
