"Wow!!! Honestly I am impressed how simple, but so delicious food is here. This place definitely deserves a higher rating. Cashier took order and was so kind and patient with us. I don’t eat cilantro and he suggested alternatives to my dish so I can enjoy without cilantro. Really good service, good food for a very good price, super delicious lemonade. My new favorite food for pre run day."

"Been here three times in the past week and many, many times overall. Everybody is super nice, friendly and the food is always “spot on”. I love the taste of their chicken and it is always done right. I get some good sides that give me energy before my long runs - red beans and brown rice. I love the drive-thru because people are friendly and always make sure I got what I ordered. Nothing beats plantains when you want a treat!"

"I have been to this location twice and each time, even though it’s not near closing, they are out of the most simplest things. Grilled onions one time, plantains another. If you are going to run out of simple items, just close earlier. So disappointed, I’ll never come back ☹️"

"You know, I took a day to think about the meal that I had before I rated it because while the environment wasn’t bad and the food was OK, I had to really think about what made it pop and stand out as a place I would like to return to. And to be honest with you, I wouldn’t I found the food to be mediocre at best. The chicken was lightly seasoned, but OK. The yellow rice was very bland and definitely required mixing the beans and the side of hot sauce in order for it to really come together well. I don’t think any of the items I had could stand alone as a single item I would try again. We ordered quite a few things from the menu. One of the items was forgotten, and when we went back to the register to retrieve it, it was replaced immediately, which made me think it was going to be fresh, but when we got back to the table with the item it was very Bland and overcooked. That item was a side of fried yuca. It was almost impossible to chew it. It was that dry, and that hard. This is my first time visiting a Pollo tropical, and to be honest with you, it was very underwhelming enough to make me not want to try another location if you’re in the mood for underseasoned, cheap food, then yes, go here, but I expect a place that has multiple locations would invest in the quality of service as well as the quality of food. I didn’t find that here. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the establishment was pretty clean and by the way the food was handled as far as seasoning etc. and getting the bare minimum of a hot meal I would expect the inside of the restaurant to be a hot mess. Otherwise, based on food alone, I definitely wouldn’t go higher than one. It was OK, but nothing to write home about and I have had way better from a side of the road food truck then I did here."
