Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

"We first tried Gyu-Kaku in Vancouver, BC/Canada and love it so much that when we found out they opened one in Orlando, we made it a must visit during our regular Disney outings. Definitely did NOT DISAPPOINT. same awesome service, same delectable portions, and same awesome experience with high quality meats and proteins. let me now mislead you, this is NOT KOREAN BBQ. although similar, the marinades definitely have a different flavor, and the side dishes are slightly different than Korean - although Kimchee apparently is a staple in Japan as well. pricing is super competitive as well despite the "beef shortage" - definitely comparable to many of KBBQ places in town my professional advice is, keep the ordering coming so you don't have too much down time in between cooking and savouring the awesome flavors. my family and i now have another regular eatery place on our monthly Disney season pass trips. Unfortunately at recent visit to this location, the management has developed quite a bit of attitude and will tell you the wait time is over 2 hours. we witnessed this with other patrons and thought it a joke while we waited in the lobby area. after careful observation, the wait was merely 30 mins for all of us waiting in the lobby - we could clearly see the restaurant wasn't super busy. Don't think we'll be back to visit, many other alternatives down the street without the bad attitude from management."

"Kevin was our server and he was a pleasure to talk to and have as our wait staff. He was funny and knowledgeable. The area the restaurant was located in was cramped and the parking was minimal. The inside was clean and well put together. We came during happy hour and spent about $110 on food and beverages, for 2 people. We had lots of food and couldn't finish it all. I'm a ramen lover so I ordered some here and even tho I loved the broth, the noodles themselves were lacking. We ordered the meat lovers meal also. The meat was good for tue most part and maybe because I'm diabetic, some of the meat was very sweet and that was too much for me. The stores at the end was fun. The alcoholic beverage I had was tasty. All in all we had a good time and would recommend it."

"Great food, great service. We had a larger party of 9 and they were extremely accommodating. Service was always quick and we never had a water cup which was not full. They were attentive with changing grills too, which is good because your food can start to get that burnt sauce taste of they are not on top of it. I loved the experience and the service. We will be back for sure."

"Great experience. The AYCE is a bit more than what you find at some of the other places, but the flame grill and quality of the meats make it worth it. Our server was very attentive and checked on us about every 10 to 15 minutes, asking if everything was fine and if there was anything more we wanted to order. The skirt steak and toro beef is a must try."

"Thao is the reason why people go to nice restaurants. Her customer service was well above board. Her politeness was a breath of fresh air. Oh yeah then there's the food. Amazing! From top to bottom fresh ingredients. Fresh food. They came off the grill awesome. Generally I don't like places, where you have to cook your own food but I will be back to this place for sure. Amazing"
