Mexi And Pizza Homestead

"We dined outside on a weeknight in January. It was our first time here and we came because the kids wanted pizza and the parents wanted Mexican. Perfect combination! The staff was very friendly. We ordered and the pizza came out soon. It was delicious. My son said it was the best pizza he had ever had. It was wood fired with a three cheese mix. Our food took longer and the staff came out to tell us they had a big table and that's why it was delayed. When we got our food, we were impressed with the quality and flavor. When we finished, the staff brought us a free dessert as an apology for our wait. We were very appreciative."

"Mexi and Pizza tries to be a perfect blend of Mexican and Italian cuisine; its ends up being nothing more than an entertaining laugh in a ridiculous restaurant struggling with an identity crisis. This restaurant is called Mexi AND Pizza, not MexiPizza. That distinction is crucial because you can't get pepperoni on your quesadilla at this establishment. My main problem with this restaurant is despite its creative name, it fails to do anything ordinary. What makes matters worse is that the food at Mexi and Pizza is average at best. This would be fine, but the portions are small, and the quality could be better for the price. The customer service is good sometimes and bad other times. A simple "Good afternoon," or "Thank you for coming," or "I apologize for the confusion" would go a long way to fix that. The Monday and Tuesday specials need to go away! The specials feel more like an insult to the consumer than anything special. What's next: Free Ketchup on Wednesdays? I need help understanding what Mexi and Pizza's target audience is. If you like Italian or Mexican food, Homestead has better options. If you are an Italian married to a Mexican with children who can't decide what they want to eat, then I recommend this restaurant. I want Mexi and Pizza to succeed as a business. But they need to take themselves seriously and stop being a comedy show."

"Came to this restaurant. I didn't know what to expect. Mexican and Italian food delicious. Been there twice so far, but I was not disappointed. Food was delicious. Drinks were not disappointing. Wait staff was amazing especially Sebastián he knew the menu and made amazing drinks, Tamarindo margaritas yumm."

"It is really good for what it is. It's a casual dining place, where service is what's great and they are very attentive to you. The tacos and pizza are really good. The rice is ok. On Tuesdays they currently have "taco Tuesday" where you buy a taco and get one free. Their hot sauce is pretty good. The red one is hot and the green one is mild."

"After a big Florida storm we decided to head out to have Mexican food. It was a very delicious impromptu Wednesday dinner. The food was superb, fresh and delicious. Service was fantastic. The place was quiet but we loved to be able to talk and enjoyed our meal without a lot of noise. Portions are big but you’ll manage to eat it all because it’s sooo good. Service was friendly and very good. I have some food sensitivity and requested to have some changes to my dish but nothing was too much trouble for our waitress. I’ll be back soon."
